The last month and a half has been quite the whirlwind! Let's start at the beginning... Last month we had St. Catherine of Sienna Academy come down and work with us for one week. The group was 39 people total (much, MUCH larger than our regular groups). They stayed at a retreat center in Las Matas and worked in 4 different sites on rotation. Being such a large group, this was a big undertaking for our small organization (our groups are normally 10-12 people total). We had an AMAZING leadership team that helped us pull off the entire week. Without them the week would not have been possible. Perhaps one of the most ground breaking, earth shattering things to be come out of this trip were the changes to our mission house in Palo Seco. John Rodgers, master engineer, once again offered us his talents for the week. He was able to accomplish a NEW electrical system (we won't get zapped anymore!) and RUNNING WATER!!!! #gamechangerWe want to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to all those who came to serve, those who came to lead and to the local staff who worked diligently on all of the behind the scenes details.
